This cabin, is quite interesting, if your interested in something similar but don’t want to buy a ‘kit’ that other people have, contact me. I am a Masters Student of Architecture and would be interested in doing some design for some real clients. Depending on the size of the design, it could be done for free or conisderably less than approaching an architect. So you know my interests lie in sustainable practice, not just through material use and passive technologies but also through sustainability through use. Hope to hear from you.

Hi, I see de square footage but not the footprint of this cabinn. We are looking for a guest house but our lot is narrow with trees. Martin

Hi Linda,

We don’t see a refrig either but can’t imagine there not being one. The cabin was originally designed for a client in the northwest. Our recommendation is to contact them directly if you are interested. Please let us know what you find out!

PS The ‘metal fence’ doesn’t seem like it is structural.

I didn’t see a refrigerator in the kitchen pictures. Does it have one?
It’s such a cute little cabin. I would love to have one on a little piece of property we have on the Washington coast.

Hi Pat,

Considering that the plan was originally for a client in the Pacific Northwest (I don’t know exactly where) it might work for you. Being that the plans are available, you could show them to your builder or architect or even ask Vandeventer + Carlander to retrofit the design for your needs. I like this cabin. I would use it as my home. Would it work in Newfoundland where the winters can be snowy and cold? Could I augment this with electric heat; some dry wall; What washroom facilities does it contain?
